About Me

cultures

to be more data driven.

I have over 11 years’ worth of experience in many industries. I am driven by data and I am passionate about making the world a better place. I intend to do this by empowering people to solve problems and make better business decisions.

Before I made the transition into consulting, I worked at a bank as a systems developer, but quickly shifted into the role of the manager of branch performance and analytics. In my early days as a consultant, I worked with a firm that specialized in management strategy. We were a global team with clients all around the world, and I played a key role in implementing and supporting successful strategies for our clients.

Being based out of Barbados, I have primarily worked in the Caribbean and this has provided me with a unique set of challenges. In larger economies, like the US and Canada, there is enough manpower for each person to handle a single component of a project. Here, we do not have this luxury. I am responsible for all aspects of projects. This includes procurement, requirements creation, planning and design, creating the solution, testing and quality assurance, implementation, the final review, and training and support for end users.

While the demand is high, I still value a healthy work-life balance. This is something I experimented with in a stint of ‘funemployment’ where I took the time to learn more about myself by pushing the limits, putting myself in uncomfortable situations, and achieving accolades that I would have never had the time or energy to do had I still been fully employed. After learning the importance of a healthy work-life balance, it has become something that I keep in mind when working with all of my clients. I believe in the importance of putting humans at the heart of the data ecosystem because in the end, technology will only get you so far.

This website is designed not only to share my more recent experiences with you but also to educate and inform people about the potential for growth in business in a modern and technological world. With any luck, this will help give you a better idea of how I work, and what I value.

Enjoy the read!
